Our hearing healthcare practice has earned an excellent reputation in Oxford and the surrounding areas for providing a wide range of digital hearing aids and also for our unique microsuction ear wax removal clinic.
We understand that hearing loss and tinnitus can interfere with your quality of life and we recognize that it is essential that you receive the care, attention and expertise to find the best solution to solve or manage your hearing impairment.
Our personalised hearing tests utilise state of the art equipment and result in a comprehensive and detailed report on our hearing and a full analysis of all your digital hearing instrument options.
The Microsuction Ear Wax Removal Clinic has specialised practitioners who can remove wax in a safe and gentle way. Even the most problematical ears can be helped and the procedure is essential if traditional syringing is not appropriate. In addition, we pioneered the ear wax management course for primary care nurses in the Oxfordshire area.

Independent VS National
It’s important to think carefully about where you buy your hearing aids from as it’s not just a one-off transaction – regular aftercare and check-ups means that the relationship can go on for years. Tripp Hearing is an AIHHP (Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals) Centre of Excellence. AIHHP Centres of Excellence must meet strict criteria in terms of equipment and service levels. These criteria are under constant review so each centre represents the highest standards of “best practice” in the profession. More recently, Tripp Hearing was awarded ‘Oxfordshire’s Favourite for Health and Beauty’ in the 2016 & 2018 Living in Oxford awards.
A recent survey asked more than 400 Which? members about their hearing aid buying experiences with high street retailers including Boots Hearing Care, Amplifon, Specsavers Hearcare and Hidden Hearing. The survey asked hearing aid customers about the range of products on offer, hearing aid prices, customer service and facilities at the UK’s biggest hearing aid retailers. The table below shows how each shop performed in the survey;

Free evaluation
The evaluation period gives you time to ensure the recommended hearing instrument is right for you. We confirm you are able to manage the style of hearing instrument and it is comfortable to wear. We ensure the technology is appropriate for our hearing loss and the chosen instrument is the “best fit” to meet your needs.
During the evaluation period, we will meet several times to fine tune the hearing instrument settings based on your experience and feedback. This ensures we match the solution to your lifestyle and ensure you receive maximum benefit.
We will demonstrate how to manage and clean the hearing solution, and be available to answer queries and solve any minor niggles which may occur.
During the evaluation, all consumables such as batteries or filters are free of charge. There is no obligation to purchase the hearing system. If you are sufficiently impressed with its capabilities and have experienced better hearing an invoice will be presented, if not you simply return the hearing system.
Aftercare
Normally, when you buy hearing aids you are also paying for all of your initial assessments, fitting fees and ongoing hearing tests and care, but we realise that paying for all of this is one go can sometimes be prohibitive. Also not all hearing aid users require the same level of aftercare and end up paying for something they do not use. So we have introduced HearPlan.
HearPlan is a membership programme that spreads the cost of your hearing care, gives preferential pricing on new technology if you choose to upgrade your hearing aids, as well as offers on accessories.
For a monthly subscription of £25.00 for 1 aid or £40.00 for 2, you will receive all of the care and support you need to improve your hearing and also get £200.00 of the cost of each hearing instrument. To find out more about the key benefits offered with HearPlan, click here. Alternatively you can choose not to take out a HearPlan membership and opt to ‘pay-as-you-go’ for future appointments.
